Terms of Service

General

Upon receipt of your registration, the rental agreement between you and us is deemed to be binding. With the confirmation you have received extensive information, such as travel and contact person. All information about the apartments are made to the best of our knowledge and belief.

The apartment is available to you with the services described by us. This also includes that you take over the apartment in a clean state. On the day of departure, please hand over the apartment swept clean. The dishes we ask you to wash washed away.

terms of payment

A deposit of 20% is due before departure. The down payment must be paid within 7 days after conclusion of the contract. Without timely deposit, a reservation can not be guaranteed.The balance can be paid 14 days prior to arrival by bank transfer or directly on the day of arrival.

In Freiburg, since 1 January 2014, a staff member for private travelers has been charged. This service tax is 5% of the net room rate. Business travelers are exempt from payment on proof.

If you still want to cancel your binding booking, cancellation fees may apply if we are unable to re-let the apartment within the time frame. In this case, the outage fee is calculated as follows:

20% of the rent from 31 days before arrival
35% of the rent from 21 days before arrival
50% of the rent from 14 days before arrival
70% of the rent from 7 days before arrival
100% of the rent from 1 day before arrival

We therefore recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance.

Further instructions
The apartment is occupied by the number of persons mentioned in the registration. An exception we make only by prior arrangement. If the regulation is not adhered to, an increased rent of € 35 per person per night for the surplus residents will be charged.

All our apartments are non-smoking apartments. In the interest of children and allergy sufferers, we urge you to take this regulation into consideration. If you still smoke in the apartment, additional cleaning costs of 200 € may be incurred, which must be charged.

Unless otherwise agreed, the apartments are available from 3 pm on the day of arrival, check-out is until 11 am on the day of departure.
liability
You are liable for damage to the home or facility that causes you or roommate. If you discover or have caused any damage, please notify us immediately. You can be held liable for any consequential damage.

Should we have to withdraw from the contract for good cause, especially in the event of damage or repairs, you will receive back the payments made. In such case, we will promptly endeavor to give you an equivalent replacement. In addition, you have no claims against us.
User Agreement Internet via Guest Wi-Fi access
We make the following usage agreement for the use of an Internet access via WLAN:

1. Permission to use the guest WLAN
The owner operates in his accommodation (BHB) Internet access via WLAN. He allows the guest to use the guest Wi-Fi access to the Internet for the duration of his stay at BHB. Shared use is a service provided by BHB and is revocable at any time. The guest does not have the right to allow third parties to use the guest Wi-Fi.
The owner assumes no responsibility for the actual availability, suitability or reliability of the Internet access for any purpose. He is entitled at any time to discontinue the operation of the guest WLAN completely, partially or temporarily, to allow other co-users and to limit or exclude the guest's access in whole, in part or temporarily. In particular, the owner reserves the right, at its sole discretion and at any time to block access to certain pages or services via the WLAN (eg violent, pornographic or paid sites).

2. Access data
Use is made by selecting the correct wireless network and entering the correct key. The access data (radio network and keys) are only for the personal use of the guest and must not be disclosed to third parties. The guest undertakes to keep his access data secret. The owner has the right to change access codes at any time.

3. Dangers of WLAN use, limitation of liability
The guest is advised that the WLAN only allows access to the Internet, virus protection and firewalls are not available. The traffic generated using the WLAN is unencrypted. The data may therefore be viewed by third parties.
The owner expressly points out that there is a risk that malware (eg viruses, Trojans, worms, etc.) may reach the end device when using the guest WLAN. The use of guest Wi-Fi is at your own risk and at the guest's own risk. The BHB assumes no liability for damage to the PC of the guest caused by the use of the Internet access, unless the damage was caused by the BHB intentionally or through gross negligence.

4. Responsibility and indemnification of claims
The guest is responsible for the data transmitted via the WLAN, the paid services and the legal transactions used. If the guest visits paid websites or incurs liabilities, the resulting costs are borne by him.
He is obliged to comply with the applicable law when using the guest WLAN.

He will in particular:
• to use the guest WLAN neither for retrieval nor for the dissemination of immoral or illegal content;

• unlawfully duplicate, distribute or make accessible copyrighted goods;

• observe the applicable youth protection regulations;

• do not send or distribute harassing, defamatory or threatening content;

• Do not use Guest Wi-Fi to send bulk messages (spam) and / or other forms of improper advertising.

The guest exempts the owner of the BHB from all damage and claims of third parties, which are based on the unlawful use of the guest WLAN by the guest and / or on a breach of this agreement, this also extends to the use or their Defense related costs and expenses.
If the guest recognizes or must realize that such an infringement and / or such breach exists or threatens, he shall inform the owner of the BHB of this fact.
